WINE OF THE MONTH

The current Wine of the Month is the Rockbare Shiraz 2009. This will get a big wrap in the forthcoming issue of Winestate magazine (July/August edition) as Top in Class for one of their tastings. For more detail see here.

Recent events run by The Wine Advisor have included our winery visit to Provenance winery outside Geelong and the Dalwhinnie dinner at the Livingroom Restaurant with David Jones. I'll update the website with reviews of these events shortly.

In the meantime, the Provenance Pinot Noir 2010 - $29.90 has just arrived in the warehouse and after tasting it alongside previous vintages, I would suggest this is the best one yet from Scott Ireland at Provenance. Given that previous vintages have received ratings of 96 points from Halliday, this is a very good buy, particularly at this price point. Buy now. **Just announced, this wine was one of only two wines to pick up a Gold Medal at the International Cool Climate Wine Show. (Class 7, 2010 Pinot Noir).
