Looking for something a bit different? Like perhaps some Nebbiolo, Tempranillo and Petite Sirah from Bendigo? Read on.

Pinga is a relatively new label. You might have heard of Pondalowie, a small Bendigo winery run by Dominic and Krystina Morris, who have been making a few waves in wine circles. For example, Halliday now rates them as a 5 star winery, Max Allen called them "icons of tomorrow", they received the Penguin Wine Award as "Best New Producer" back in 2007, Ben Canaider included them in his "Hidden Treasures" review. I could go on.
Well Pinga is the "alternative variety" project of Dominic and Krystina. And they have 3 excellent red wines for your consideration.
Pinga Nebbiolo 2007 - $23.50 -"Crimson/brick red colour. Nice floral aromas with a touch of earthiness. The palate is grippy and tannic but persistent and long. It's screaming for food to accompany." - The Wine Advisor
Pinga Petite Sirah 2007 - $23.50 - "Petite Sirah, as opposed to Petite Syrah, is widely acknowledged to be none other than Durif. Quite lifted berries on the nose. There's a bit of chocolate, spice, berries and a fine drying persistent finish on the palate" - The Wine Advisor
Pinga Tempranillo et al 2009 - $23.50 -"This predominantly Tempranillo wine also has a bit of Cab Sauv, Petite Sirah (read Durif) and Shiraz. Crimson red colour. There's certainly plenty going on although the tannins of the Temp hold through giving a fine boned leathery tannic finish on the palate. There's a slight tariness, cherry and red berry fruits. It's medium bodied in weight and yet packs a punch. A very good food wine"
So grab hold of some of these. They really have a point of difference and are particularly suited as an accompaniment with food.
As an incentive, I'll offer 10% off any orders of a dozen or more. You can mix the dozen in any way you like. But please note that if you order through the website the discount won't show up and will come off after you complete the order and before your credit card is charged.
