We are looking a few more particpants for a winery tour to Provenance Winery near Geelong this coming Sunday 1st May. Details follow but I need to finalise numbers by midday Thursday 28 April. So if you are free and want to experience a rather unique winery visit, let us know asap. Details follow:
Provenance Wines, at Sutherlands Creek, near Geelong is a James Halliday ‘five star’ rated winery.
Winemaker Scott Ireland has agreed to host a small group of my clients with a particular interest in Pinot Noir. It's just a few wine lovers going down to the winery for a winery tour and tasting this Sunday 1 May. The winery is not normally open to the public.
Scott has had a great deal of success with the most recent vintages (1997 and 1998) of his Provenance Geelong Pinot Noir both scoring 96 points from the aforementioned Halliday.
We will have the chance to look at current vintage 2011 grapes still fermenting and taste the exciting 2010 vintage Pinots featuring the new regional range from Henty, Ballarat and Geelong, some straight from barrel.
Scott has agreed to host a lunch for our group and to put on a few of his other wines such as Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Shiraz. It’s a very generous offer and all it will cost is $60 per person. That's including transfers from Hawthorn, wine samples and casual lunch in the winery.
Our coach will leave Melbourne at 10:30am returning by 4:30pm. The winery is located to the north west of Geelong and is just one hour in the coach.
If you are serious about Pinot, want to learn more and also have the opportunity to purchase some of his wines (including an exclusive ‘en primeur’ offer) let me know of your interest as soon as possible. Numbers are very limited. |
