The July 'Wine of the Month' is the Xabregas Shiraz 2008 on special at just $16.90. Not bad value for a wine that won a Gold Medal at the 2009 Royal Melbourne Show and was consequently in the 'taste off' for the Jimmy Watson Trophy.

This wine is in the cooler climate Shiraz spectrum but certainly not under ripe at 15% alc/vol. It's dark fruited, spicy and complex.
