Description:
Trophy for the Best Red Wine - Macquarie Royal Sydney Wine Show 2010 “This is the best red release from Blue Pyrenees for ages. Value, flavour, quality, texture - it’s good from all those angles. It tastes of blackcurrant, chocolate, pencils, mint and blackberry jubes. There’s a bitterness - almost a smokiness - on the finish, but the texture and flavour of the wine is so good, that it carries it. If it stretched out through the finish better, I’d have rated it higher. Excellent value, for certain. 92 Points. Drink 2011-2017” – Campbell Mattison, The Wine Front “A generous mouthful of ripe dark berries complemented by forest flavours of eucalypt, mint leaves, earth and cedary oak. Full bodied with classical Cabernet Sauvignon structure and abundant fine grain tannins, which contribute to an elegant, persistent finish characterised by lingering chocolate flavours. Can be enjoyed now or cellared with confidence for 8 years” – Winery notes |
